Hello! My name is Margot and I am an artist and dancer. I graduated from Parsons School of Design with a bachelor of fine arts and went on to work at several large branding and package design firms before starting my own design business.  As a child, I studied ballet but decided that pursuing dance as a vocation was not something for me. Many years later, I returned to dancing ballet recreationally and started to incorporate my inspiration into the many paintings and sketches. On a whim I created an instagram account with the name "pointebrush", a play on words using the fundamental tools of dancer and artist: the pointe shoe and the paintbrush. As they say the rest is history and I've been exploring every facet of this theme ever since.

More recently, I've added teaching to my resumé, encouraging fledgling and veteran artists alike to embrace the creative process without fear and come along with me on a journey of self-discovery.
